The K stood for Kindred, the spirit that incorporated themes of big brother, alternative dimensions and paranormal activity into Sci-Fi classics. His book Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? was transformed into the screenplay for the film Blade Runner and could have changed his fate but he crossed over soon thereafter still suffering financially for his art.
