Renegade British producer and songwriter who revolutionized modern recording with overdubbing, reverb,compressors and direct boxes. His song Telestar was the first British act to reach #1 on the US charts. His adoring fans include Jimmy Page and Richie Blackmore. He died depressed and broke in a sensational murder-suicide.
