Buzzcocks were not like the other boys. They wrote songs with melodies so sweet that it would rot your teeth. Shelley's vocals never got in your face; snotty but they just kinda floated over the three-chord attack. While some punks were preoccupied with the fascist regime, Pete seemed more concerned about orgasms, the harmonies in his head and about people you shouldn't fall in love with. Shelley's post-Buzzcock work resurrected his earlier fascination with computers and produced a line of underground dance hits like Homosapien and Sex Dwarf.
